Free time school-organized activities
The “Tiempo Libre” Activity Program is designed to promote practice and conversation among students of all levels with fun cultural and social activities, visits and excursions in a different environment that complements your Spanish course. A very enthusiastic instructor is in charge of this program and organizes all activities every week.
All students are welcome to participate, the only requirement is the desire to have fun and speak only Spanish while in it! Each week's activities will be posted at the "Actividades" board. Some are free and others have a fee, but it will always be at the lowest cost possible for our students.

Costa Rican cooking lessons

You will be able to amaze your family and friends back home after learning easy dishes of Costa Rican cuisine in weekly cooking sessions. As well as learning how to prepare a few dishes and making them yourself, you will also eat them in a jolly atmosphere while practicing your Spanish!

Latin dance class
Both campuses
Latin dance lessons take place almost every week. We have an enthusiastic instructor who will care about teaching you the steps so as well as having a fun time you go away with a new skill. We offer Salsa, Merengue and Cumbia, and other rhythms like Bachata and Hip Hop on demand.

Tropical fruit class & tasting

Have you ever heard about the Maracuyá or Guayaba? There is much variety of tropical fruits in Costa Rica! In this activity you will be able to know and taste the different varieties (all kinds of colors, shapes and flavors!)

Locos por el Bosque

Locos por el Bosque is an eco-sustainable tourism project that is developed under the format of rural community tourism, together with the small community of Montserrat. The reserve is entirely virgin cloud forest and has 100% natural trails through which our students can observe a great variety of flora and fauna.

San José City Tour

Get a taste of San Jose’s culture and cuisine on this walking tour. Explore Costa Rica’s capital and learn about the city’s history, architecture and flavor. You'll get a sense of the daily life as you ride public transportation and know some of the most important cultural landmarks of our capital city.

Irazú Volcano National Park

Irazú Volcano is one of the major attractions in the Central Valley region and one of the most visited national parks. A total of just over half a mile of paths wind between the principal crater. The park protects 2309 hectares where elevations range from 9186 to 11260 feet. The habitats represented here are cloud forest and tropical rainforest-upland.

La Paz Waterfall Gardens

This place is full of attractions you can't miss. It is one of the most visited ecological attractions in Costa Rica with over 3.5 km of walking trails, five beautiful waterfalls, rescued wildlife preserve with over 100 species of animals and the opportunity to know a unique and extraordinary place.

Toucan Rescue Ranch

The Toucan Rescue Ranch is a rainforest wildlife rescue, rehabilitation and release organization. You will be able to know lots of species of birds, with toucans as a major attraction, but also parrots, owls and other animals like sloths, spider monkeys, porcupines, otters and a very special hawk. In the tour you will know the stories of each of the animals, but most important, you'll be able to contribute to the development of this important cause.

Miró mountain hike

Miró is a mystical mountain with an abandoned restaurant with an amazing view. Toucans, macaws, monkeys and even sloths are some of the locals here. It's a great place for watching the sunset and enjoying the view of beautiful Jacó bay.

Crocodile Jungle Safari

On this tour you'll be travelling in a boat through the Río Grande of Tárcoles to observe the amazing flora and fauna around the river. With the crocodiles being obviously the main attraction, you can also witness one of the best bird watching experiences with more than 60 bird species across the three different ecosystems.
