What our students say: Nicole

Nicole Spanish student testimonial
“The teachers are very patient and qualified. I feel important and intelligent. I don’t feel old, my classmates make me feel young! My motivation for learning the language grows.”Nicole

Nicole is one of those “forever young souls”. She came to the school with her husband Robert on 2014 and left us with good memories of her kind and positive spirit. She left us some encouraging words and a beautiful little poem which you can see below (in English and its original in Spanish).

“I’ve learned a lot at Academia Tica. I like the courses. The teachers are very patient and qualified. I feel important and intelligent. I don’t feel old, my classmates make me feel young! My motivation for learning the language grows, I learn to talk in Spanish more easily. When I make mistakes my teachers correct me and encourage me to keep getting better.

I like the free time activities with Elider. He’s very kind and help me with my Spanish. He’s a careful driver. He answer all my questions patiently.
The free time activities at the cafeteria with teacher Mireya are nice. The empanadas with corn flour are delicious. The tasting of Costa Rica’s fruits is extraordinary. I was able to taste sweet flavors and learn about new fruits.

At Academia Tica I felt welcome, as if I was part of the family. All the people I met were nice and natural.”

Poem by Nicole:
At Monday I go to the mountain
to take a black cloud.

At Tuesday I go to the beach
to breath the fresh air.

At Wednesday I go to the jungle
to see the parrot and the monkey.

At Thursday I go to see the volcano
to take its energy and its smell.

At Friday I walk in the city
to watch the people and talk to them.

At Saturday I go to the cafeteria
to meet friends and play ping-pong.

At Sunday I go to the church
to say Thank you!
