Academia Tica

Coronado and Jacó beach, two very different locations to study good Spanish. Academia Tica is one of the oldest Spanish language schools in Costa Rica. Our first school in Coronado was founded in 1986. The new school is in Playa Jacó, founded in 2006. We have been putting all our experience in the new school, to create facilities as good as in Coronado. Academia Tica is recognized for quality by “Instituto Cervantes Madrid” and accredited by ADES and many other language institutes.

If you want to study Spanish and exploring whole Costa Rica, our language school in Coronado is just perfect for you. It is just a couple of miles away from the capital city, San José. Buses to all regions of the country start in San José, which makes it very easy to go on weekend trips.

Our school is located a bit outside of San José in a small semirural town called Coronado. It's more relaxing here, which is perfect for studying. It's also safer here than in the very center of San José. It just the best place to combine studying and visiting Costa Rica.

Costa Rica is really worth a visit; here you will find great beaches, active volcanoes, amazing nature parks and loads of more sights to explore. You can go for sport fishing, hiking, canopy, canyoning, surfing and many other sports around here. But the favorite sport of all Costa Ricans is football, Salsa dancing is also very important. The Spanish of Costa Rica is considered to be the clearest and best spoken worldwide. The people here are friendly and helpful.
